PANERA BREAD BAKERY-CAFE

“We are the kindest gesture of neighbors”

Half-soup/half-sandwich/half-salad
The day off sweats people and the movie-date
Crowd dressed in black and golden dangly
Baguette/chips/apple
Baguette: fancy dip into cheddar broccoli soup
Chips: broke, didn’t see sub-shop across the lot
Apple: breakfast all day tapping that drip coffee
The same unwashed, flesh-colored mug all day
Thesis/pitch/brief
It won’t let go, this thing, this cranium thing
This cranium thing’s already gone
Leaving hands feeling for it
Like archeologists in the dark
Choking for it choking you for it
Choking you to get at it to taste it
To glisten and dance with it
Disco/Rave/Ballroom
So you don’t sleep
You don’t sleep so you are cotton blooded
Cotton blooded so you don’t run
Don’t run so you get fat get weak
Weak and fat don’t feel sexy
Don’t feel sexy don’t buy condoms
Don’t buy condoms guilt
Guilt means over-compensation Victoria Secret resentment
Resentment: cyclical silence growing exponentially
Silence-geometry means cranium hole is not being filled
Less time spent on cranium hole means more cranium hole
More cranium hole means more cranium hole means more Panera
More Panera more Panera more Panera
More Panera clean restroom, more Panera cute cashier,
Hi there/Will that be it/Thank you
More Panera playing footsies with strangers accidentally
More Panera overheard dirty conversations in the clean restroom
More lady in wig picking Panera roast beef from her teeth
More girl wiping her whole Panera table with sanitary napkin from purse
More stacked dishes for Panera to wash
And free Panera wifi
So porn Panera too
