David Hurst

David Hurst was born in Oklahoma, raised in Washington, Montana and California, and traveled as much as he could afford to in his youth.  Older now, he cultivates an air of bemused detachment, which most people mistake for senility.  In spite of his ambivalence toward the Shift key and distrust of punctuation in general, he was granted a Poetry MFA at CSUF in 2006.  He teaches English at College of the Sequoias in Visalia as a means of avoiding gainful employment and/or the draft.  He loves his children, his wife, and Emma Peel.  You can read his blog at www.englishandmore.org/blog, friend him on Facebook, or spam him at davidh@cos.edu.
